How Does the Red Light Therapy PanelWork?

Red light therapy works by emitting specific wavelengths of red and infrared light. These wavelengths can  penetrate through the skin into the tissues which produces a biochemical effect in cells that strengthens the mitochondria. The mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell — it’s where the cell’s energy is created. The energy-carrying molecule found in the cells of all living things is called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). By increasing the function of the mitochondria using RLT, a cell can make more ATP. With more energy, cells can function more efficiently, rejuvenate themselves, and repair damage.

What Do I Need To Know About Using My Red Light Therapy Panel?

• Expose the area you want to treat from 3-6 inches away
• Treat each area for 5-15 minutes (no more than 20 minutes)
• Use 4-10 times per week on each area
• Remove any clothing covering the treatment area. The light may feel warm, but it won't get hot and will never burn you.
• Wear the protective glasses for your eyes while using the panel
• Using a red light therapy device in the evening can help you fall asleep faster and encourage deep, restful sleep as red light helps the mind and body to wind down and encourage the production of the sleep hormone melatonin.
